Me Talk Pretty One Day
said...
I shared my theory with my office about the weather.
Me: Jesus is coming back. Co-workers: *blank stares and side-eyes* Me: Ya'll do know Jesus, don't you?.... I thought ya'll knew him....
*crickets*
Me: Ya'll really need to know Jesus in the pardoning of your sins. *turns back around to my computer*
I agree with "Me Talk Pretty" ...How about it won't be snow and ice, but fire next time. I work at a supposedly Christian University with a Seminary, no less...and when I get fired-up about Jesus(and I do it often, on purpose); they seem to get nervously embarrassed. I want to know what are they teaching in the Seminary? But boss has a Preacher's licensed (Divinity Degree) and was surprised that the Holy Spirit could speak to you and lead you in a different direction. So, exactly how did you get saved????
Oh yes, I'm working on my boss though...and I do pray for him. It's just too many folk claiming to be Christians, but don't KNOW Jesus intimately. He said something to me recently that I had to adamantly refute: Boss: I think Pastors should lookout for people in their congregation to recommend to attend the Seminary to become pastors.
Me: I slightly disagree, The first thing that needs to happen, is they need to be called by God (that is if we're going by the Bible). While I understand, you can see gifts working in people. God need to call them, not man! Period.
Right! I so agree. I just have to shake my head of some of those in the ministry these days- especially those guys who attend seminary by day and hold up the bar and lounge by night...
